Hi there,

I have a question: I bought a guitar with a Sustainiac Neck PU and an EMG 57 Bridge. Compared to my Bareknuckles the EMG has to less output.. therefore I want to change it to a bareknuckle together with the sustainiac. It will be a mixture of a active/passive then..
But I have only one volume and all I read somewhere it is difficult.

Anyone experience with this issue? Someone help? So I want to keep the sustainiac at the neck and a bareknuckle at the bridge. How to wire this?

Thanks a lot,
Olli

oh, good to know. so the batterie is then only to activate the sustainer and there should be no problem to combine both with a 500k poti?

just checked. it is this one:

I have a passive bridge pickup on my guitar that has a sustainiac...you'll have no problems with the mix.

If it is a case of mixing a passive and active pickup in the same circuit (IE an EMG 81 and an SD Jazz) then hooking up the passive pickup to a small internal buffer will allow it to work with the 25K pots for the EMG. I've done this once or twice before. Takes about 5 minutes to solder up a single transistor buffer.
