I read that earlier today and I happen to agree with Conan.

Same here. O'Brien is funny. Leno hasn't been funny for a very long time.
Which probably explains why Leno's ratings had been getting so low before he quit and Conan took over.

I've actually been watching Conan's show almost every night because it's been awesome, and the new timeslot works better than his old timeslot for my schedule. And Jimmy Fallon's actually filling Conan's old timeslot quite well, I've stayed up to watch his show pretty often because he's held my attention. I've yet to see more than half an episode of Leno's new show, just no interest.

You know, one of my new roommates is a big Office fan, so I've found myself watching the occasional Leno or Fallon episode. I have to say, Leno absolutely SUCKS at stand-up these days. His show opens with an awkward 10 minutes of jokes that really just aren't that good, before he goes on with a show. And you know, when he does, he's actually fairly decent at running a late night talk show. If he'd just drop the stand-up schtick, he'd be fine, I think.

I thought so too, at first, but now the awkwardness of the show has grown on me :lol: His standup isn't great, but he occasionally hits with a good one, and when he misses, it's almost as much fun to watch :lol: Really it's the rest of the show, the weird games and skits, and his complete lack of interviewing skills that keep me coming back :lol: I can't figure out why I watch, but I do.Fallon, meanwhile, is hopeless. :lol:

NBC pushed a successful cop drama (Southland) out of the prime time slot to make room for an aging boob that got the job that they should have given to Letterman in 1992. Now, they want to push another guy with ten times the talent (O'Brien") out of the way for the show that nobody is going to watch at any time slot, leaving a FIVE HOUR GAPING HOLE in their evening lineup.

I can't stand Conan, but i think bumping him is wrong. Leno succeeded Johnny on The Tonight Show, and when Leno was stale, it was time for someone fresh in the chair. Leno's prime time slot bombed, so now they're "demoting" Conan? Hardly seems fair.
I don't watch any of them regularly anymore - but think Conan can be pretty funny. Thumbs up to him for standing his ground :yesway:. Seemed like he was getting bullied because Leno stills wants the limelight which was bullshit. Time to retire dude.
Conan's is the only late night show I enjoy at all. I heard about this yesterday, and it's nonsense. I hope Conan gets a better offer on a network that will treat him better.
It is awful, but it's still better than the show that Carson Daly had. That show was just uncomfortable to watch.I really can't believe Fallon still has a show. It's so terrible.
i just dont see why, after taking all this heat, leno doesnt just retire with his millions and millions of dollars and go live the good life
