And without giving too much away (I've only watched Epi 1. anyway) the Punisher in this makes the movies look like a Saturday morning cartoon.

I'm gonna definitely check this out when I got the time. I thought the first season was pretty good.
I'm really happy with this Punisher, though I still love the Tom Jane Punisher. This one is far better than the Punisher Warzone shit, that's for fucking sure. So far this season is fucking awesome.

Plowed through the first 3 episodes, don't really have the time to binge on series like I used to; glad this season comes out swinging and doesn't feel the need to coddle us (not that the first season did either).
I'm curious if anything will top the fight from the first episode of season 1. That long shot was so god damn draining.

There's a fight like that this season and it's pretty damned awesome. Not sure it tops the season 1 one, but it's right up there. Of course as I watched it I could tell every spot they cut, but that's probably more a fault of Birdman :lol:Wirelessly posted

Agreed. Just finished epi 3. This isn't just good comic book TV; it's great drama. You really forget the guy arguing is wearing a devil suit, and is really just someone trying to appeal to someone else's humanity.I'm about ep. 4 and lovin' it.

I watched all of the episodes.
I liked the series a lot and the punisher is very well fleshed out in this.
That being said the overreaching plot with the Chaste vs the Hand left a lot of unanswered questions that I hope get answered in later seasons.
Fisk is awesome still - Was not expecting him to get as much screen time as he did.

While it's still one of the best programs out there, this season wasn't as good as the first. Fisk was the better antagonist than either punisher (first half) or the hand (second), the actress they chose for elektra wasn't bad, but was overshadowed by all the rest of the main cast (the best of whom is Woll, imo), and the whole 'slacking off at work' bit in the middle fell rather flat, I thought.
On the plus side, it's nice to see the Netflix series start to get more Marvel with overt preta/supernatural things going on (it's the marvel universe, they've taken the realism thing just a *little* too far, imo), and The Punisher was easily and by far the best punisher on screen in writing and portrayal.

The Punisher steals the show IMO. Those first 3-4 episodes are epic!
I just finished season 2. Jon Bernthal really steals the show as the Punisher/Frank Castle. There have been some pretty decent performances of the Punisher (although oftentimes in so-so or crappy movies), but I think Jon Bernthal's portrayal of the Punisher is the best so far. I also really liked the portrayal of Elektra quite a bit too (although I kept thinking "She's supposed to be Greek, but they have an Asian-French actress playing her!"). Fisk was as annoying as fuck, but that's thanks to Vincent D'Onofrio's acting skills. He's quite good at playing a seriously annoying mother fucker.
Overall, it's hard to say whether season 1 or season 2 was better, but I think I actually liked season 2 better (mainly thanks to the Punisher and due to it not being the origin story), despite never having been a fan of the Marvel Universe's ninjas.
