The second one sounds fuller... bigger... thicker. The first one has more high end, I guess, and a little more bite.

They both sound good, but I guess which is better comes down to personal taste.

Thanks guys. Appreciate it much!

I'll try to come up with a mix that has that fullness and bite.

Thanks Chris! It means a lot! Your Axe Recto clip sounds heavy! I've still got more tweaking to do but I think this little pedal has potential. Definitely gets thrashy and brutal. :)

Made a slight update to the previous mix with post EQ on the master to open it up a bit:

And here is another test with Orange cabinet impulses but I think I prefer the fullness of the Framus one:

I'll be sure to play tighter on my next clip...

I think if you can find a median between the last two, you'll be golden. The Framus sounds a little hollow to my ears, but it has more clarity and bite. The Orange sounds big and rich, but it lacks definition.

Thanks Nights Blood. You are right, the Framus sounds decent but still distant. Although what I liked about it was the big low end thump from it.

One week later... I've found myself messing with the e530 TSE X30 sim... this time with less extreme EQ, same impulse!

I think it still has that low end bumpage but some more edge + clarity. Also it is a new set of strings / new take.

Thanks all :metal:

If this came on when I was driving, I'd turn it way the fuck up. :metal:

Is there a bassline on this? If there is, it needs to come forward, if not - make it so! :D

Thanks a lot dude! You're right I gotta hear this in my car! :hbang:

There is fake bass lol. It's guitar pro MIDI > free MIDI vst > Pod Farm Big Bottom > Ampeg / Eden Impulses, LOL. It's not terribly loud in the mix but it's there haha.

Edit: What it needs now is some epic metal singing! :kd:
