I had a Special on my old Damien Elite and it was good up until the point where strings started popping out of the bridge which only took about a year of moderate use. I think with a saddle upgrade its probably a good enough bridge but I'd only do that if the guitar came pre-loaded with one otherwise its OFR for me all day.

My bad: I wrote Edge, but LoPro Edge is pretty much the same thing but "low profile" so I'm 50% right :flex:

50% right is half wrong. Tone is in the fingers.

The biggest issue I've had with the "special" are the saddles. Very prone to cracking from the string lock screws.

Yuup. Had the same problem, also on a Damien, funny enough. That was the year I learned what Stewmac Is.

Interesting. They must have really gone cheap on the saddle zinc. Swapping for a Gotoh when they die seems reasonable, since that's about the price of a set of steel Floyd saddles.
