I'm just happy because it means we can buy guitars that come stock with EMGs, and can now drop passives in without leaving massive gaps at either side of the pick up. :yesway:

So i was on my facebook and i saw that EMG was logged in. So i sent them an IM asking to make passive sized pickups but still active, and check out the response!

Hardly. EMGs are great for extreme high gain, and are actually surprisingly nice as a single-coil-like neck pickup lead or clean sound, but for almost anything else they just don't work for me. They're horrible for mid gain crunch sort of riffing, IMO.People who don't like actives are in denial. :mk:
