I've recently realized that certain, very successful songs originally sung by female artists would take on a completely different meaning/feel if sung by a male singer. Some examples (warning, you probably won't like any of these songs, but give the lyrics a chance, and imagine them sung by a guy, some of them are quite hilarious from that perspective):

Taylor Swift - "You Belong With Me" (this one's actually pitch shifted to sound like a guy, which illustrates the point well  )
Sung by a teenage girl, nothing seems wrong about it. Sung from the perspective of a guy, it just sounds creepy, like someone should be getting a restraining order

Divinyls - "I Touch Myself"
Again, sung by a guy, the mind immediately springs to a creepy guy in a trench coat watching someone from the bushes

"These Boots Were Made For Walking" (I'm posting the Jessica Simpson version because the video isn't half bad when on mute  )
This one sounds almost offensive from the perspective of a guy

Any others?

That kind of is an interesting ideas, but I'd be terrified of other people not in on the joke hearing it.

Joplin's "Down on Me" is probably only marginally more suggestive sung by a guy than a girl, but, well...

This would almost be a fun recording project for the forum, everyone pick an innocent sounding song and make it sound as creepy as possible
Well, JJ would obviously win that battle.
