OK, so here's what I've got...

Epi LP > pedals (nothing on) > Radial Twin City splitter...

A > Mesa Stiletto > 2x12 Eminence Wizards > SM57 > Ch1
B > Mesa DC-10 > 2x12 Celestion V30s > SM57 > Ch2

Roland Duo Capture > Tape (by Focusrite) + "Studio + Reverb Mastering" > Soundcloud

Here's a clip of the intro riff to The Needle And The Spoon on my Epi LP, with both bridge and neck P-Rails running in P90 mode.

This next one is the same riff, but twice, both with the bridge P-Rail (hot version). One of them is series humbucker, one of them is P90.

I tried panning L to R with my iMac speakers, to hear a difference between the DC-10 and Stiletto. I could definitely hear the difference with my headphones on the output of the interface, but I'm having trouble hearing the difference here? Did it mix to mono somewhere?
#2 sounded good! Which is weird because normally I'd probably give you shit for using P90's

And this is why you are wrong. P90s are fucking awesome.

:agreed:
That's why I have such a hardon for the P-Rail.

It goes from...
Humbucker when you think you need it, P90 when you want to try it out,

to

Humbucker when you want it thick, P90 when you want shine.
THIS IS KIND OF FUN GUYS.

A few more with the P-Rails on Ch1 of my Stiletto (50w, Crunch, most controls are around 12:00, Presence is down near 9:00)...

1) Bridge, series HB
2) Bridge, P90
3) B+N, P90
4) Neck, P90

I LOVE how this amp reacts to these pickup changes.
The B+N combo would be great for some blues.
turn down the mic gain a tad, you're clipping a tad.

Another one gets the bug. I look forward to you also not finishing your album! :woohoo:
This sounds really good, even through a remote Firefox session, on laptop speakers. Glad it's working out for you. Now get GarageBand on that iPad, and start doing some songs!

Also, per Kevin; you are clipping in spots. Make sure the red light doesn't come on on the channel you're using.

Really, don't let it get anywhere CLOSE to clipping. I rarely peak higher than -12-18db since it's easier to just turn up the wav file (digital gives you perfectly clean transparent volume boost after all) than turn down something that was recorded too hot.

:agreed: better to be too low, then too high. A good tube amp is tricky, because there are just so many dynamics to deal with.
Yeah, I kinda hear that. I dialed it out like I do my board, just below clipping on the loudest sounds. I suppose this is a bit different!
Well, listening again, I think you're hearing the amp breaking up a bit. If you'll notice on the second clip, I've got the amp's clean channel dialed such that some pickup combo's are clean, and some drive a bit dirty. I thought I kept the meter just a hair out of the yellow, but it's possible I'm clipping, and just don't know it, cause I'm a noob!

Can you let me know where you hear it?

B+N P90, on the clean channel on Crunch, with the Solo boost =

First thing's first, cleaning up playing that isn't buried by the rest of a band :ugh:

first clip 8 second, and 17 - 20 seconds. it's both the amp breaking up and crappy gainstaging on your part.

LEARN TO SCIENCE BRO.
I am sciencing! Step 1 is jumping in head first. Step 2 is asking the pro's WTF is going on
