so i have an Eleven Rack showing up this week (NGD coming soon!) and i'm wondering what my affordable options are for floor control. I know there is the ground control, anything else? this isnt stuff i'm used to messing with, any help is appreciated :)

edit: oh and all i really need to be able to control for my needs, is changing patches. i dont really need much other functionality.

For simple changing patches, it is hard to beat the rolls midi buddy or tech 21 midi moose. Both are lightweight & compact enough to store in your rack during travel.

Depends on what you want. If you just need to scroll through presets (literally through them, not jumping between ones that are NOT right next to each other) then something like the Tech 21 MIDI Mouse is awesome. If you want to be able to jump around, and also use it in a stompbox mode instead of just presets, the Behringer is awesome. I just picked one up for my AxeFX II, and it does everything I need! Very pleased.

well after looking threw some options and prices, the FCB1010 is winning for me. it'll do a fair more than i need, but i'd rather have too much than not enough. the price is good and i can easily get them locally. plus if i get the EurekaPROM its even simpler to use

I would grab the Rocktron MIDImate. It's cheap and has a respectable feature set in case you ever need more.

Another vote for the FCB1010 :yesway:
:agreed:

I've used mine live for years both with the G/Maj2 and my Axe Ultra. The expression pedals suck, but I am not much of an effects guy, and I am definitely not a wah guy, so I just don't use them

the price is good, and for $40 i can get the EurekaPROM i wouldnt need to go in and program anything really.

i am a wah guy, but i have 3 wah's that i use and love, so i wouldnt use the expression pedal anyways :) maybe the volume, but i havent used one of those in years

The FCB1010 is okay but does have limitations (5 MIDI channel maximum for MIDI and, they are hardcoded as to what 5 channels you can use globally, rather than being able to send to 5 different channels per preset). However I've had mine for a decade now, and it's only now after years of being giggied, moved about a lot, in about 5 or 6 different houses and 4 different rehearsal rooms that the power socket is coming a little loose.

They are probably the most solid thing Behringer makes, and I'll probably pick up a new one at some point unless I find something better for not a lot more (which is very unlikely)
