That's one reason why nobody else sounds like him. I'm with him on the thin strings, though I can't imagine using the crazy thin middle strings that he does.

Frank Marino is a madman! Zakk Wylde cites him as a major influence & you can definately hear it with Frank's insane fast bluesy style.

He was also a big influence on Marty Friedman.

Frank has never gotten his due. He unfortunately got lumped in with guys like Ted Nugent back in the '70s, and his more sophisticated approach didn't really catch on. Some of his albums, like "Strange Universe" and "Mahogany Rush IV" would probably go over better with fusion fans than with the hard rock folks.
