I was jamming out on my UV, and did a slide on one of the bass strings.

I got a splinter in my fingertip.

I don't have tweezers.

I had to remove it with the blade of my Leatherman.

I went to the exotic wood lumberyard one time and picked up an arm full of rough-sawn wenge. Never again. :realmad:

I hate splinters more than pretty much anything.

Good to hear you did it the Macho way. A lesser man might have tried to remove it with an epsom salt hand bath. :metal:

Aren't the white UVs Ebony?

Regardless, that sucks. Be glad it wasn't a wenge or bubinga fretboard... shit is nasty.

I'm really not sure. I just did a fret polish, so maybe a piece of tape pulled a sliver up or something? Either way, the fretboard is in pretty good shape and I can't see a missing piece or anything - for all I know, maybe it was something else black and sharp and it wasn't the rosewood at all, but whatever it was, it hurt!

something pricked me last week when I was playing... I thought it was the strings... I was just sliding a chord up the strings when it felt like there was metal or something tiny in my finger for a few minutes.
