I was thinking of picking up the G-System to replace my G-Major. The only real feature that is getting me to upgrade is the switchable loops for bringing in pedals like OD in the chain via midi. My only question is that with this setup you will be putting the OD after the preamp section and my experience with that is mixed. I seem prefer to have the OD up front before the preamp section. It seems to drive the preamp tubes better than when you apply OD after the preamp section.

The other bonus is getting the midi controller with it so I could get rid of my midi controller and the g-major and just have the one unit, but that isnt the main advantage of the upgrade to me.

I am debating between the G-System or just getting a MIDI loop switcher like the AXXES instead.

Anyone with a G-System setup like that have any feedback?

The G-System has a dedicated loop for a preamp, and its external loops are located before that preamp loop. Go to the TC site and download the manual. There's lots of useful information to be found therein.
