The Screamin' Demon is one of my favourite humbuckers, I'd be quite interested to see how this compares to it.

Pretty good, I'd imagine. It's a very bright pickup, not a lot of low end, and not a lot of midrange, so it might lose a bit of the character of the Les Paul. I'm a strat/tele guy at heart, and I despise Les Pauls, so I can't really say how it would sound, but both of the guitars I've got one of these in are made of mahogany, and they sound awesome.

Apologies for the vague answer :lol: Basically, I think the pickup's awesome, and it'll sound good in anything.

And whoever at SD decided to make the demo all, well, demonstration and not talking, and instead use text was fucking BRILLIANT. Best demo I've seen in awhile.

If you want this pickup you might be shit out of luck. It looks like Lynch is no longer a Duncan endorser because he has his own Mr Scary pickups. His name is no longer associated with the Screamin' Demon and the Super V is no longer on the Custom Shop page. If you got the cash I'm sure they will build you one but there is an interesting post on Duncan's forum about a Super V needing different legs and the Custom Shop saying it couldn't be done.
