I actually played one of those Cooley models and to be fair, it was a really damn nice guitar. Ugly as all balls but it played and felt great.

I actually have one of the older import models - the RC7x. Out of my Fender USA, FGN, Schecter Loomis and RC7x, the Dean actually gets the most play time. Great guitar for the money, sounds great and generally underrated.

A friend of mine collects Dean Cadilacs that where made in certain years in the Czech Republic a while back.. not now..... and I have to say, even though I really dont like that shape, those guitars are top notch and I dont mean "for a import/budget" guitar, I mean as good or better than US Deans.
