I don't know, watch the vid, its not cheap looking at all and loads third party IRs, they don't say much about the modeling though.
Edit: Most people said the HD modeling was good but the IRs are terrible, I think they listened to that, but wonder if they went the rest of the way and updated the modeling. They always show people playing Blues with a ton of delay..bastards.

Yeah its pricey and there are already HD500x users bitching on the Line 6 FB Group page. Some are speculating that they are going after the Kemper/Axe FX market... maybe... with that price it has to be BETTER than the Kemper at least!
I would say there's no speculating at all. They are definitely going after the AxeFX/Kemper market.
It looks like it has some fantastic features, but given Line6's reputation for mediocre quality and for lack of support via software updates, they had better be stepping up their game in a BIG way in order to justify that price.
Also, capacitive touch footswitches? That seems really odd. I guess it's for ease of use when programming and assigning functions to switches.
