I am in the same boat right now looking for a H-S superstrat in the same price range and keep landing on Warmoth. I have had multiple builds in my cart today but haven't been able to pull the trigger. Solar crossed my mind but I already have one and would like something a little different.
I even thought about this and I have always hated Relic finishes because I can destroy my own shit but I keep landing back on the page.

Fernandes, Washburn, and Shadow also have some stuff worth looking at.
I wouldn't pay $1500 for them, but Fernandes in particular is going to have loads of older Japanese stuff.

This is a sick guitar and Greg Howe's gets a cut, therefore it gets a pass.
I just don't think you can find a cooler one than this one aside from the Maveric and his old ESP's.
