I've recently been jonesing for some old-fashioned Starcraft action, but can't find my CD anywhere. In my search, I stumbled upon a scratched up copy of Age of Empires 1 and figured that it would have to do. I popped it in, the disk reads, but as I am running OS 10.5.8, my operating system does not support Classic Environment. Seeing as Blizzard was kind enough to provide a patch that would allow native installation of Starcraft on OSX, I thought Macsoft might have something similar for AOE. Their website, however, does not seem to support Age of Empires 1 any longer. I searched around, using various terms, but my searches were either obscured by AOE 2 and 3, or by sites wanting me to buy AOE 1, which I do not need. So, how can I get around this? Any free OS9 emulators or Classic patches that I should know about? Alternatively, one could tell me where I hid my Starcraft CD eight years ago.
