http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7646944/bad audio.mp3

Ok so i reformat windows,

reinstalled all of my drivers,

and now the sound out of my pod XT comes out like this (via usb)it sounds digitized or pitch shifted, hard to describe, check out the mp3 above for an example

Here are some pics of my config, let me know what you guys think

___

P.S.

I have tried it with three different recording programs and tested it direct out through windows mic test option, its the same thing, so i don't think its the software.

Whatever it is, it sounds awesome  Seriously, if you figure out a safe way to switch that sound on and off, I may have a use for it

On a more serious note, it might be a sample rate conflict? Like, if your recording program is set to 44.1 and the POD is set to 48 (I run into this all the time with my POD X3, because I'm not paying attention half the time  ).

LOL, yea it would be cool to be able to turn it off right about now :)

Sample rate is set to 48 on both // tried 41 on both too, same issue :(

sounds like your input volume is too high. Did you check that? (If that's possible over USB)

I would also increase your buffer size. You get fucked up audio if your buffer is set too low as well, although I didn't listen to your audio samples since I'm at work. 512 is a bit low, I'd set it as high as you can provided you have the resources for it.

Your ASIO settings are just whacked out. I cannot fathom how anyone can use anything less than 128 for "Default Buffer Size" and 24 bit rate for "Default Bit Rate", I'd just be really pissed off by the amount of latency going on.
I also have my "Buffer Size" slider all the way to the left.
If your computer can't handle those settings, it's time to just bite the bullet and upgrade your computer, because it's clear your computer is WAY too slow.
