Yep. NBC canceled it.

On one hand, what a shame. The first season was just terrific. Epic.

But after that, wow, they did pretty much everything wrong. The show went from almost 15 million viewers an episode on season one, to under 5 million just 4 short years later. Talk about an implosion.

I remember I could only watch a few episodes of season 2, it sucked so much. Which was astounding, considering how great season 1 was. I ended up watching all of this last season, and I thought they were getting back to the things that made it a good show. But I guess by then, the momentum had been lost.

Sad. I really liked that show. :(

First season = WIN

Second Season = WTF

I only made it through like 3 episodes in season 2 before ignoring it
Same here. :agreed:

As to Smallville, fuck that. I adore that show. It's better and better, and I think it's a great twist on the whole Superman mythos. I've seen every single episode of that show since the beginning 9 years ago.

I have to agree with the consensus that the first season was great, after that not so much. I haven't seen anything past season 2, but that was enough to make me not want to.

Completely agree with you Bob :agreed: I only got into it from around the 4th or 5th season, but I've been watching ever since. I thought the finale this week (and season 9 in general) was fantastic!

Season two was HAAARRRIBLE. Bleah.

I attempted season 3 - first part was A-OK. Then, they totally switched gears halfway through it, and it was almost like a different show. Blew donkeys. :noway:

I thought, "Fuckit. I'll try this new season one last time." for season 4, and turned out to dig it. But, alas. It wasn't meant to be I guess.

I wonder if this means I'll have a chance to nail Ali Larter.
Is your logic behind this: Because she has nothing better to do now?

Completely agree, Bob. It was really picking up steam, and I really enjoyed Syler/Gabriel's redemption, along with the new baddie, who was more interesting as a villain IMO due to him seeing it as a religion almost.

You sir are welcome to her, as I'll have my hands full with Hayden Panetierre.
