Well if you ever feel like you might have the time, don't hesitate to let me know... I have a feeling we'll be looking for a new lead for quite some timeLol it would just be difficult with my job, cuz basically its a flexable(for them) schedule and i never know what my days off will be or what hours im workin ahead of 3 weeks unless i request them off. And its very rare that i have a weekend off. But thats definatly the type of band setting i would want to be in, just for the fun and love of music. Nows just really isn't a good time as im tryin to get my life figured out amongst other things. Im just afraid of taking on more than i can handle and then being unreliable as a consequence. I checked out your band though and that stuffs right up my ally in terms of musical taste,:metal: I love the darker thrash bands like slayer and exodus and early death metal ala Death, Morbid Angel, Pestilence and Mercyful Fate/King Diamond.
To be honest with you Drew... I'm really not interested in soloing. Its not my thing. I'm WAY happier being a rhythm guitarist. Now would be a GREAT time to learn how to solo yourself, Rog.![]()
:squint:Stephen Carpenter creates great music
Umm... I'd consider the Deftones in the 'metal' genre... I just don't consider Stephen Carpenter in the 'good guitarist' genre :fawk:yeah god-forbid there's good music out there that isn't metal, right Rog?
And I disagree with you on this point. The Deftones have only ever created 1 song I liked the guitar riff to. The rest of their catalog reminds me of nails on a chaulk board.I never said he was a "Great guitarist" just that he does create some pretty great music.
