Alrighty, I've had a couple of days w/both of these.

The Beginner book is good, but it's REALLY for beginners. If you're completely new to home recording, this will definitely help you out, but it's not really showing me anything new. It's all the basics - what a track is, how to pan, punch in, etc. It's very thorough and does a great job, but honestly you could pick up most of what it's teaching you in a week just fiddling with the software and reading some forums.

The ReaMix book/digital download from Lulu, on the other hand, is excellent, and has a ton of great stuff in it about mixing, EQ, mastering, etc. Highly recommend it. :yesway:
