looks like a nice axe, I'm picky about how thick the body is personally, I prefer thinline acoustics
My first thought, too. An entry-level Martin or Taylor, or even a Seagull, will sound quite a bit better for the price.Ibanez acoustics are pretty, but I was never fond of their sound. I don't know how expensive Martins are on that side of the pond, but here a low end one isn't terribly much more and sounds millions better. :2c:
:yesway:Seagull
I completely agree with this statement. My first thought, too. An entry-level Martin or Taylor, or even a Seagull, will sound quite a bit better for the price.
I have the exact opposite problem with them. They always seem to sound like a Dean. IE, dead, flat and shitty.I just don't get along with Ibanez acoustics... They sound too bright too my ears.
Ken's right. In the $400-500 range, Alvarez is king. There are usually a handful of duds and a handful of "wtf, why is this so cheap?" sounding models at every music store I go to, so play them before you buy one.I have the exact opposite problem with them. They always seem to sound like a Dean. IE, dead, flat and shitty.
If you're looking for a cheap acoustic, go with Alvarez. If you're looking for something more expensive, get a lower- end Taylor.
