Anyone see a reason to do this? I've looked at the pros and cons but it really just seems to be adding a new app store and thats about it. i could be totally wrong though. thoughts?

Can't speak to the iPad but jailbreaking the iPhone was great because I was able to ad a few extra functions like via programs like SBsettings (kinda like a customizable taskbar w/ "on and off" switches for various functions) and Winterboard (customizable icons and lockscreen widgets).

Like I said, I'm not sure how useful any of that is for the iPad but just the difference between applications I had access to from one to the other made it worth the change. I'd venture to guess there are some cool homebrew iPad apps.

if you jailbreak the ipad there is a Flash support ported from android for it.

Not to mention free apps :lol: That's the only reason I jailbroke my iPod touch.

As cool as it would be to do some of those things, jailbreaking can lead to security issues in some cases. So I'm just going to leave mine stock for the time being.
