I HATE to be the one to break it to you, but if you can RENT the Zelda Collection (or whatever it's called that has OOT/MM) first because on my copy I had 0 clue as to how to use the bow & arrow/yellow arrows in general. There was no tutorial included in mine as to what translated from N64 controller to Wiimote, but aside from those 4 keys (which are pretty crucial to the game) and an in game glitch/who-knows-what-it-was, it was fun.

If he gets the gamecube OoT he can use a gamecube pad ;) That's what I done anyways  I'm playing through Twilight Princess atm actually. Loads of fun! I dunno what to play between that an Oblivion

Wii Zelda fucking ruled, though. :yesway:

But otherwise, yeah, the sports packs are surprisingly fun. :D

Yeah, the Wii is definitely a great party console. We used to get a 30 pack, break out Wii sports, invite the friends over and just chill out for hours. Mario Cart and the Mario vs. Sonic Olympics games were serious fun as well.

Great score. :yesway:

you can use a gamecube controller, and thereby, a modified n64 controller ;)

Twilight Princess was pretty cool. Felt like they were paying homage to Okami as well as Panzer Dragoon (just for a small portion).

Silent Hill Shattered Memories was pretty good too. That actually restored my faith in the series for now.

Super Mario Wii was a pretty cool game too. Old school true sequel right there!!

Oh yeah and Metroid 3 was kind of a let down, but it's worth playing and beating.

The new Super Mario Bros is great. You should also check out WarioWare Smooth Moves. It's fun for the family, but it's hilarious to watch your drunk friends try to play the game.

I only have 24 minutes... and I got it in 08 with Brawl. I guess that's why I never played it.

Not even online like gamestop.com?

If you can find the GameCube version, it was ported from it. 'Except Link is really left handed and they changed him to a righty for Wiimote purposes.

Has anyone messed with the homebrew channel? I ended up putting it on there. apperently you can play burned games and play dvd's
I have, but no matter what I do, I can't get my Wii to take anything burned/on DVDs. My sister's boyfriend got his to play them, though. I mostly just use homebrew to play old NES and SNES games I miss from back in the day. I spend more time playing that one SNES Kirby game (All Stars??) than I do any of the games I bought for the Wii.

I bought a Wii a few christmasses (is that the proper plural to put asses at the end of Christmas? lol) and I absolutely loved Super Mario Galaxy.

Unfortunately no other game I played was anything worthwhile IMO and most felt more like mini-games than actual games, so within 2 months it was up on craigslist and sold.

There are more games out for it now though and I think it's a great system if you find some games you're really into.
