Les Binks is on Stained Class.Ripper is indeed a massive douche, it's not surprising that his career is a parade of b-list gigs.
KK was in Priest forever, and might just want to do something else with some different people. At that point in his career he can do whatever the hell he wants, so good for him. I wouldn't hate on (for example) Dave Murray if he wanted to play with some of his old buds instead. I'm not familiar with Les Binks but you must be mistaken, because Scott Travis played on Painkiller.
Painkiller is the supreme Priest album. It's like AJFA, Rust In Peace, Slave to the Grind and Seventh Son. :metal:
#priesthipsterpovAs much as I love Painkiller, Screaming for Vengeance and Defenders of the Faith are both better albums. If they had Scott Travis playing on them, we wouldn't even be having this discussion.
If Stained Class had the same production quality as Screaming or Defenders, there wouldn't be any discussion to be had.
Meh. The songwriting and the poopy production go hand-in-hand. Sabbath, Rainbow, Deep Purple, etc. were making infinitely heavier sounding albums at the time, and the production didn't limit them, the worked with it.I always leave 70s Priest out of the discussion, since it is flat out better than the 80s stuff.
