I'm not gonna lie, I'm gonna lay all my cards down on the table and be honest here.

I enjoy every Lady Gaga song I've heard (about 5 or so) significantly more than the song played by the band in this video.

You'd be surprised how many Berklee students are less than impressive at their instruments. There are a ton of other majors than performance, so just because someone graduated from Berklee, that doesn't automatically make them incredibly technically proficient at their instrument.

It's also worth noting that some very good musicians enjoy playing some very basic music, sometimes.

Actually not really. They more or less just have really high tuition and only give scholarships to their top students. Basically you either need to pay to get in or be skilled.

They didn't start doing auditions for admission until 2004 or 2005 or so. I started in 2003. Sometimes I wonder if I'd have gotten in if they'd had auditions then.
