little racks inc

I have somehow now packed 7 spaces of gear into a little 4 space SKB roto rack

Honestly, I love this little rack. This was some trying, getting everything to fit when I added the wireless, but it works perfectly. The pedals are velcro'd in and tied down, and while the shelf doesn't move, there's enough space to see the knobs with a light off my phone. One thing that would really help is finding decent 1 foot patch cables that are right angle on one side and straight on the other. I can't find any in the midrange price range, they're either super cheap (and cheaply built) or they're hella expensive, like $15 for one cable. If I could get some decent ones in the right size without having to build my own, it would make plugging in cables to the G System a lot easier.

I will say this feels like the nerdiest thing ever! It seems like no one runs a rig like this anymore.

I think LiveWire makes those?
Hmm... $11 for a 1ft run?

I think I've got a few of these kicking around. Solid cables :yesway:

Yeah exactly, that's $66 for basic cables for the 3 pedals. Planet Waves prices are just plain better, they just don't have the angled to right angle.
Make your own? Could buy some cable and the proper plugs.
I think that's about what a George L's kit would run, and you'd get enough cable to do it all up, plus extra, I think. I really like the sound quality on George L's, but I think if you move them too much, you need to re-clip/cap them, which is why I go with the pancake Hosa's for my board :yesway:
Nice work Vince :yesway:

I do similar with my rig, but I've got my JMP-1 in the 4U rack as well. Haven't got any pictures of the back of mine at the moment, but the power conditioner, my pedal power supply and all my pedals live in there. I've just got generic overly long cables wiring mine up at the moment, but I've had the components to wire it up with custom made exact length cables for ages, I've just been lacking the time/motivation to rip my rig apart to recable it.

You know, adding some color-coded cables to the setup really helped me. These things are great:

I run a purple one to the front of my amp, a green one from the send of the FX loop, and a red one back to the power amp.

efficient use of space, but really heavy. :yesway:

I've got everything labelled now with high vis tape, which you can really see even under low stage lighting. Still need to get my old band's settings off of channel B of my VHT, but I took my second cab down last week for the hell of it. Debating taking all 3 tomorrow, but that might be taking the piss a bit.
