Hey guys,

I'm contemplating a new cab if I can find some good audible reason to switch. I know some of you guys have some Mesa cab experience and I'd like your thoughts on these cabs.

Rig rundown:

Roadster w/ Tung Sol
TSovChaos for boosting
Agile AL-3100 stock
PRS SE with high output in the bridge and vintage PAF-style (?) in the neck

Current cab is a peavey XXX with WGS British Leads

I dial in my amp with the output around half, and sitting in front of my cab so that at least 1 speaker is aimed at my head. I am trying to brighten my tone just a bit more, without it getting harsh. If I turn up the presence or treble too much, it gets too harsh (at least it seems like the audience would be getting a harsh sound from the PA).

I'm trying to find the mix of not too bright, not too dark. I realize I have a somewhat dark souding amp setup but the bridge pickup and TS add some highs to it, and I'm just looking for a bit more cut without changing the fundamental girth of the tone.

Try buying a couple of V30s, put them in opposite corners so you have an "X" pattern. Should add some cut to your cab, and they have plenty of bass on their own so you won't get thinned out.

This idea definitely has my attention :yesway:
