Metals Needed for Life's Origin
Lots of big words, but basically transition metals may have provided the missing link between the building blocks of life (amino acids, nucleotides) and the fundamental tools for their self-replication (proteins, ribozymes). They may have served as a catalyst for the basic monomers that build the more complex organic molecules.
I'm a little out of my element here, but this pretty fascinating just the same. :yesway:
