Welcome to my life. With the footswitch stuffed in the back and the larger magnets in the XXX speakers, that combo is easily 90 lbs. Now you know why I want an Axe-FX.

Guitarists are so whiny. Try carting 190lbs of bass rig around. Only 70 lbs of it has casters. Really fun when all your gigs are on the second floor :squint:Welcome to my life. Yeah but dude, it's one 90+ lb. box, with one stupid handle on top, and it's too deep and wide to be able to handle gracefully. Best solution for me is to pop it up into my arms and carry it like a retarded 12-year old (Chris... on my way! :lolGuitarists are so whiny. Try carting 190lbs of bass rig around. I've lowered it to only 145 these days, but that's still plenty :squint:
This is true. You might be surprised how loud that motherfucker is. I kill drummers at 5, and it's half open in the back so it kind of has 4x12-like spread to it as well.Yeah, but your one box can probably easily pace or possibly even drown out my three boxes with twice the speakers and four times the wattage
I hate physics sometimes.
I am never surprised at how loud tube amps are. My 30w 1x12 Budda can drown out a hard-hitting drummer, and my old guitarist's 45w 4x10 Super Reverb could flatten my bass stack if he got too overzealous with the bass knob and the gain on his fuzz pedalsThis is true. That did sort of rule.:lol: Drew's nomad raped my 8x12 fullstack. At like 3 in the morning, with my downstairs neighbors home.
T'was pretty epic, lol
And it was loud then, right? Almost, like, louder than Chris's half stack?i have never turned up my nomad more than 10 o'clock  I like my hearing too much
That's how it was with my old bass rack  Easily over 100 lbs of 6-space flight rack goodness :lol:I can just imagine the horror of lifting a 2x12 combo. Hell, when we're transporting gear to a gig, everyone (including me) hopes they don't come back to the truck when it's time to move my 1x12. It's like we're all playing Russian Roulette.
I probably would buy a 1x12 Stiletto or ROV as well, however the JSX 2x12 is a nice amp, and it's a downright steal for $799. Throw some KT77's in there and forget it has a third channel, and you're golden. If I'm going to cart around 85 lbs of 2-channel 2x12, I'd buy Drew's Rectoverb instead, or maybe a used Stiletto Ace combo. But then again, I really didn't care for the JSX.
I thought the combo version didn't have the third channel?I probably would buy a 1x12 Stiletto or ROV as well, however the JSX 2x12 is a nice amp, and it's a downright steal for $799. Throw some KT77's in there and forget it has a third channel, and you're golden.
XXX and JSX combos are identical to the heads, and the XXX has reverb where the head does not. Not sure if the JSX head has reverb.I thought the combo version didn't have the third channel?
The jax minicollosal has only 2 channels is what it isSoopahmahn said:XXX and JSX combos are identical to the heads, and the XXX has reverb where the head does not. Not sure if the JSX head has reverb.I thought the combo version didn't have the third channel?
Yeah it does. The JSX50 head (which I don't think ever materialized) was only the clean and crunch channels, with 6550 tubes. It would have been a great amp.I thought the combo version didn't have the third channel?
