I really think this could work out pretty cool, in a different, slightly more realistic, dark-and-gritty kind of way.

Nope, not for me. This looks just bad.

What it looks like to me, is that they wanted to make a more "realistic" film for it, but they also wanted to use the least realistic characters just so they could throw a few favorites in.

So what did they do? They ignored the character history, they destroyed any "mythological" or supernatural qualities they had, and they absolutely butchered the character design just so they had the characters in the movie.

The fighting itself doesn't look bad, but I'm sorry, this looks like it has nothing more to do with the actual MK series than a name :noway:

EDIT: The original movies may have been complete cheese, but at least they respected the franchise (mostly anyway), and had kickass soundtracks :yesway:

It looks like a fan film with two quasi-famous people added for good measure. It looks cheap, just like the movie most likely would be if it were to be actually made.

Lame. Just like the other MK movies.

I thought the Batman vs. Alien vs. Predator fan film looked better.

At least the other movies stayed true to the look and feel of the characters. They haven't even made this one yet, just a trailer, and they've already arseraped Baraka and Reptile :noway:

Yeah, I guess you're right. The first one was entertaining in a somewhat campy way. The second one was just amazingly bad.
