Has anyone had any experience with the Ernie Ball OLP MM1? Ive seen a few around me and was curious if they are any good.

All the guitars i have attempted to buy recently have been sold by the time the guy gets back to me but if you guys think its any good im going to meet the person selling it this weekend. The reviews online say they are good guitars but id like to get some more opinion in it.

I am getting a great deal on some lace pickups to put in it (or whatever guitar i buy) so let me know your thoughts

I've play the OLP Petrucci quite a bit, and I've played the MM1 before.

The Petrucci came new, played perfect out of the factory. The MM1 had mile high action and sharp fret ends. My takeaway was that the QC varies a lot either from guitar to guitar or just model to model. Since you're getting it used, hopefully the previous owner already sorted this out. Either way, I'd make sure to keep some extra time/cash put aside for some basic TLC (fret de-burring and polishing, filing down 'fret sprout', truss adjust, etc.)

Ok thanks for your input, i have a friend who can do fret work and stuff for me
I used to have one that I sold my buddy after buying it from Josh. It was a great guitar but needed some fret love. They are TINY if you have never played one before it will feel small. its still Fender scale but just a small body with a shorty headstock. Just try before you buy for sure :yesway:
Just went to see it and loved it, i had to pick it up. I didn't find the body too bad
IMO one of the best "new" body shapes to come around in the last.. Uh.. Well whenever that shape came out. Usually I'm not a big fan of anything other than superstrats, but these just look great to me.

Sweet fiddle dude, enjoy it. :yesway:
