Pay no mind to the sloppy playing. I sold my Ultra the day after announcement and have really only played like 5 hours since. It's gonna take a while to get my chops back to where they were. But oh well, i have great twn. :flex:

How do you compare the modeling in the two units?

I like the tone on justin 2 and double verb sounds cool

Some of those sounded really good, but I couldn't hear any improvement over the Ultra to be honest. I liked ******* high and Justin 2 the most. Double verb is my favorite clean amp on the Ultra, but I wasn't digging the Double Verb in the clip that much. Probably more of a personal settings and taste kinda thing, though.

How do you compare the modeling in the two units?

I think that the II is a definite improvement. It is most noticeable in the high end. I often struggled with the highs in the Ultra because sometimes they wouldn't sound like I thought they should. With the II, you really play with the treble and presence parameters with good results, without it ever getting harsh or abrasive, unless you really crank them. Also, there is a chewiness and bounce in the models that is really apparent now. All in all, I really really like the new Axe, it once more people play it, they will soon realize that it isn't all hype, and that there is really a difference between the two. It may not come out in clips, but it is obvious when playing it. Another thing, the modeling sounds so good, it has me playing amps that I normally would scroll right over in the Ultra. Case in point, the Fryette D120. It sounds scrumptious. lol

As for the fx, they sound improved as well. I really like all the types in them. It makes dialing in new tones a breeze.
