I wouldn't say i prefer to, I play guitar in another band right now( Sewer Rat ) but this band gets higher profile shows and i dig playing bass as much as i dig playing guitar.

not sure. I think the closest thing is post rock. most of our influences come from bands like neurosis, isis, explosions in the sky etc
