Been meaning to grab either a watch or cycling computer with heartrate and GPS, and this one also adds in cadence, and appears to support navigation if I give it a course in advance. Pretty cool. :yesway: Thoughts after I take it out tomorrow, I just installed the thing.

Great little units, fo'sho. :yesway:

Start here instead of the crappy user manual that all Garmin shit comes with.

Garmin Edge 510 In-Depth Review | DC Rainmaker

You can give it a course, but it's breadcrumb based and not really "navigation" in the normal sense. You won't see streets, just a trail of where you've been and where you should be going. Good in a pinch but I would be careful about planning a whole route with it because it can't reroute.

Get your ass up here this morning and you'll see why planned routes are awesome.

They're good for things like organized centuries and shit too, where the route is pre-planned. Helps avoid the whole going the wrong way thing.
