Amahi Home Server - Making Home Networking Simple

Basically built on Fedora 12 (unfortunately), but offers a web interface and one-click installs on a ton of cool shit, like:

web-based VPN
H.264 video streaming
iTunes server
wiki
proxy
content management
centralized calendar
Samba server
DNS/DHCP
DLNA server
Greyhole, which makes the server act like a Drobo (multiple dissimilarly sized drives, using free space for redundancy)

and a bunch of other stuff. Really quite cool, and so far I'm very pleased with it. Best of all, it's free.

This seems pretty cool. I love these "server in a box" distros. This would be cool to install on an older machine, and throw it in a closet. Having a web interface is a big plus.

Hmm....is there a program for linux that serves hulu via UPnP?
Like this?

DLNA for Amahi
Man am I glad you weren't talking about the mac mini server.
Nothing wrong with the Mac Mini server, but it's not really the same target as Amahi, and it's far more expensive.

I'm more of a Linux on the backend, OS X on the desktop/laptop kinda guy.
I have a Mini running server, but not the actual "Mac Mini Server". I'm very happy with it.
I quite like the Mac Mini Server hardware; removed the optical and stuck another drive in there, still very small footprint.

That is pretty sweet, and similar to UPnP. But it doesn't seem like that app can handle hulu like PlayOn does. I currently use Connect360 to stream media to my Xbox.
Check out their app list. They've got a few media-related apps, one might fit you.
