I like it. But then again, I have a buddy really, really into dubstep, who's turned me on to it a bit, and I have to say I like it a lot. It's the first thing I have heard from Korn in eons that I actually enjoyed. I heard it on the radio of all places (which I never listen to), and checked it out some more. Apparently this new album is them working with a lot do the top dubstep guys.

Yes, I realize if you're a metal purist, this isn't for you. But c'mon, it's not metal... it's Korn.

Here's a cool dubstep remix that I think rocks.

I can see my brother and his friends loving this. I've actually had a metal/dubstep jam, which was pretty interesting! Dubstep is definitely not for me. Drumming like Shannon Lucas, however, is!

edit: while the LoG track is tasteful, I feel it's way too slow. Personal preference and all that jazz :yesway:
Generally, these are two things I totally despise, but I dig what I hear. It's not my favorite thing in the world, but it's not nearly as ear-offensive as I expected it, haha.

Right!
That's just it - I dig some Korn songs and own a couple albums.
This is more interesting as a dubstep fan than as a... erm, "metal" fan or whatever. I think that's why I liked it, actually.
That makes sense to me, and it's why I think my brother would really dig it. I think the idea of dubstep is pretty cool, I just personally can't get into it.

Pairing up with one of the biggest names in the biz (from what I gather) means it's going to reach a pretty wide audience :yesway:
Now this very cool, really quite like this, glad to see them doing something a bit out of the box as the albums since head left have been boring.
Skrillex pisses me off, but I can't deny that he's one of the best sound designers/producers in the business these days... his basses are just monstrous. Still prefer Noisia and Spor in the "pure filth" category though, I've always been more into the dnb side of things anyway
I like the LOG Dubstep but I just can't stand korn anymore.
I wish they would get a new singer.. Jon Davis voice/lyrics :noway:
I wish they would break up, overdose, and die. So sick of this god awful band.

I think that's a bit harsh  Granted, this blows compared to older Korn, but wishing someone dead because you don't like their music?
Jesus, dude, quit taking things literally.

How can I not? The Internet, srsbzns

Korn = the 1st 3 albums. After that, meh.
:agreed:

I always liked Slipknot more, anyway.

I actually really like Korn. Even their most recent work. *shrug*

I guess one reason I like them is that they very much have their own sound, you'll always recognize a Korn song pretty much instantly. Mind you, some people hate them for that very reason, their sound just grates to some people. But meh, I like it and not that many bands have a sound that's completely their own.
