My biggest problem (other than the fact that it feels like a rehash, which I don't mind, as it sounds more like "Korn" than the last couple of albums, even Jon sounds more like himself, even if he sounds a little "too much" like himself  ) is that David's missing. Ray Luzier is an amazing drummer, but David and Fieldy just locked in so much tighter, and that was a huge part of Korn's sound.

Where's Shane in that video? Oh that's right, they only bring him out to play live, for the stuff Munky can't play. :D

Yawn. I am not impressed in the slightest. And I do like their earlier stuff, and even own their "Greatest Hits".

+1 Where the fuck is Shane? He kills it live, plays with JDs solo band, but is still the hired gun? That's crap, he's a better player, and songwriter than Munky all day long. :noway:
+2 on the drums being good, but nowhere near as good as the old fellow.

Tune is ok, sounds like Korn, and I dig Korn. :yesway:

Whiny to angry vocals, check. Clicky/buzzy bass, check. Tired, late 90s riff in B, check. Skipping this album, check.

I used to like Korn when I was younger, and I own a few of their albums, but even when I was in my teens I couldn't fathom where the bass was. All I could hear was the click.

I tried listening to them again recently and just couldn't get passed the bass and Davis' voice.

 Sounds like they're using the same formula as always but I guess why change what's worked for the fans for years. Play it safe, pay the mortgage.

Ah, it'd hardly be a korn thread without noodles letting us know that he dislikes them.
More like Noodles telling you how repetitive and irrelevant they have become.

Well it's all about opinion, isn't it?

I have a pretty similar opinion of Metallica - not a band I really care about beyond what they did for metal, just like Korn. I don't intend to see them live, I don't follow their music, I don't see them as relevant now.
