I'm liking the first song, the other two I'm not quite sure yet. Did you end up mixing this on your own with your band, or did you have someone else do it? Either way, it sounds pretty good. :yesway:

Also, will the full album be available for free download when it's released? :)

We mixed and mastered it ourselves. We're all pretty happy with how it turned out.

I'm not sure if we'll be doing a free download of the whole album... we'd kinda like to recoup at least our manufacturing costs for the CDs. :)

This is coming musically from a place I don't really go. More like the kind of alternative/post punk/techno/industrial school. Me, I'm a metal head, and when I go outside of that, it's generally something completely other than this whole sphere of music that's never really 'grabbed' me, and to me, that's where you guys are coming from.

So, I don't have a ton of input on the music, per se. Reminds me a bit of NIN, I guess. That said, the mixing and mastering sound great. Fantastic. Very pro.

The mixing on 'Diabolik' is very unusual. Drums panned to the left, bass and guitar on the right? You don't hear shit like that too often. I kind of like the tune, though.

Nice job. :yesway:

Steve and Ed had some challenges with the mix on Diabolik... there was a lot of stuff going on, and they were having a heck of a time trying to get everything to sit right in the mix. They eventually tried mixing the drums hard left and the guitars hard right (except for a couple of parts where things cross over) and all of a sudden everything sat right. It's definitely odd, but it works. :)

Targets was good, although I think the vocals could have been a bit more powerful like they were in the last bit of the song. The other two would be my favorites. The slow one is weird and cool, I like all the electronics and the melody a lot. The last one is the best in my opinion, it doesn't have the hooks that the first one does but it has a really cool groove.

The mixing and mastering seems to be a bit to dull to me, I like a bit more punch and more of a wet mix. But I've heard/done far worse.

So all in all great job, I'm impressed :yesway:.

Please tell me you got rid of that teeth-grating dot matrix printer sample you had in one of the other tracks?

Sounds great! Vocals could have used some doubling in places to strengthen them, but overall a totally solid mix.

Wirelessly posted (Dethphone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

Uncanny Valley unfortunately didn't make the cut for the album. It wasn't finished, so the guys will keep working on it and we'll release it at a later date.
