Hello my MG brothers. I wanted to first of all thank you for all the advice I have gotten here. I feel I have come a long way since my first post (;)), and I sincerely thank you.
Today, I want to share my newest song and my current situation.

This is a play-through my new song "September". The idea came to me that month, as well as the song is inspired by event is my life in Septembers past.
If you enjoy it, I hope you are inclined to read further...

I have been accepted to Berklee in Boston. I am going to go there soon to audition for scholarship purposes. I will also be travelling to Texas for the University of North Texas' great Jazz program, and Middle Tennessee State for their Jazz and Recording arts.
I need to raise money to travel. I would be grateful for any help that you could give me. Even if that just means sharing this and passing along to your friends.

Please feel free to follow me on Facebook also, whether you are able to donate or not!

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for all those who are able to help financially, know that I will never give anyone a moment of regret. I will work hard every second to study my craft and give back to the world the music I've been given.

With gratitude,
Frank

Some people asked me for a price breakdown. Here is how it looks for two of the three places.

This is for the Trip to Denton, TX from Albany GA.

4 nights, hotel, average $75 = $300.... My mom was trying to make the trip in one day, but it is a ~16 hour drive (and she has a heart condition), so one of those days will be between point A and B.

$150 for food
$200 gas at the most
Total $650.
do not want to fly for this trip. It would be just waay too much money.

For Boston, the flight tickets are $410 each.
Staying in Boston is about 80$ per night for 3 days. We will try to stay at the cheapest place we can find. That takes us up to $1,060 for Boston already, plus the 650 for Texas.
We are just taking bologna up there for food.

I have gigged, but there is a extremely limited output for opportunities here. All of that money has gone towards application fees (which at Berklee is $150). Everything else I earned is eaten up largely by gas money, as I live 30 miles from each town in my area.
Also, my dad works in the healthcare industry, non-salary, and has found himself sometimes working only 1 or two days a week in the last year.

Hope that answers your questions. Thanks for what you had to say. I want to make it clear that I wouldn't ask for help unless I absolutely had to.
Thanks.

It just means I haven't activated the confirm email to collect what has been donated yet. Thanks for pointing that out. :)

Hey, guys! Just an update.... I returned from my second audition (MTSU) this weekend. It was a blast (even through the brutal weather and driving conditions)! Things went really well and I had great interaction with their faculty! Feeling really good going into the next audition (I'm leaving for Boston on the 27th).

Things in Texas were a little rockier, but were a great ice breaker (no pun intended). On the drive up we had a blowout in Louisiana, and I ended up walking 2 miles (in vain, but that's another story) and we got it changed on the interstate!
I got some time to guide myself around UNT, and their music department is great! I got to hear one of their lab-bands, and almost thought it was a CD through the door!

I gotta say, it's pretty funny :)ugh:) that where I live I NEVER see snow, but It's been snowy (and icy) for both of these trips, and will be for Boston as well. What's up with that?

I'm super pumped for the 3rd part of this journey! Thank you for all the support - it means the world to me!
