Only $7000!

(probably more, actually... Jack Bruce's sig is like $11k.)
The Warwick Artist Series Steve Bailey Bass has MSRPs of $2,439 for the 4-string, $2,789 for the 5-string, and $3,159 for the 6-string. For more info, check out the Warwick website.
R.I.P. 6 string fender jazz
Yeah, the Fender SB sigs were pretty sweet.

Sean: I was thinking of the ones with the snakewood boards. Unless Warwick dropped their prices dramatically, the CS ones are gonna be in the $6-7k+ range. The "Artist Series" is something different.

:( Which REALLY sucks because he & Fender worked for years on that model. If anything, maybe I could score on cheaply now. As a guy who made his own 6-string jazz bass, I'd prefer the Fender over his Warwick sig.

Ahhhh gotcha ;)
These are Warwick Artist Korean series. They've been on the Warwick site forever. Apparently the Korean QC is really good from what I've heard. Never tried one though.

From what I read from Steve on some other forum, he said fender isn't discontinuing it as he isn't tied exclusively to Warwick or something along those lines.
Fender has discontinued it, which sucks for the 6 string world.
Looks like I'll have to keep an eye out for blowouts then

Wait, 2-3K for a Korean bass? I mean, I get that the Suhr Rasmus and Dingwall Combustion series are made in east Asia, but these Warwicks are an order of magnitude more expensive again than those guitars.

Once again, Warwick astounds me in the complete lack of value for money department. Thankfully, their used prices are rock-bottom, so if I ever felt the need to get one I could pick it up for a fraction of its actual sale price

Those are list prices, but I don't disagree. People have said that the Korean series Corvettes are just as good as the german ones. I don't know how well that actually pans out in the end, but I could care less, cause I have a german one

Seems like the only ones they do that hold value are the Thumbs. Which sucks, cause I want a fretless thumb 6er.
I'm glad I got my Aria Pro Steve Bailey 6 string fretless, and didn't need to bother with Fender or Warwick :) Same Basslines soaps, same Duncan 2 band pre.

Yeah, you go ahead and play your non-warwick non-50lb bass ;p
I didn't say it wasn't 50 pounds ;)

I know. I'm just saying that every warwick i've ever picked up feels like lifting weights.
This is the Aria. this is actually my bass, and the guy playing it is the guy i bought it from on Talkbass
