So, a friend of mine was selling this & she gave me a great deal. As expected, it is a phenomenal playing guitar & performed very well at my performances this past weekend.
With the bolt-on configuration, it has a nice in-between mix of Les Paul meets Strat.
While I looooooove my PRS SE models, it's nice to finally add a USA model to the collection.
Anyway, enjoy.

Very cool. The CE and the Swamp Ash Specials are highly prized by players… i'm a little surprised they haven't brought them back, though perhaps Paul is becoming more of a purist these days, sticking to the recipe that has made PRS guitars what they are.

My guitarist's swamp ass special is one of the best guitars I've played in a while. Phenomenal snap and balance. And the McCarty pickups are phenomenal.

I've got a CE24, too. Great guitar. The bolt-on maple neck seems to add some snap relative to the Custom 24.

Does yours have the original pickups? I swore I'd never change mine but tried Breeds one day and never went back.

Yeah, it does have a bit more snap than the set necks of the Custom models. You can hear it especially when I kick in the coil tap.
I was told it was stock condition, so I believe the pups are the originals.
For my 2 SE Customs, I have Duncan Distortions for the bridge & added a Duncan Jazz to my 7-string's neck.

As I said on facebook, great score dude.

Im wondering how much of the snap is the bolt on vs. The maple itself? Not that either would sway me away from one (i want a CE, but opted for a computer over the one here).

Vid clip?

Eh, I dunno. I just know what I hear & I dig it. I finally got a new computer as well & just finished moving into my new house. After almost 2 years, I'll be doing lots of videos again. Stay tuned. :)
