Here it is. I was shamed into not pussing out by half a dozen intelligent people, and I went for the Ultra.

Prompt shipping, excellent packaging including antistatic bubble wrap, nicely bound manual, and a perfect looking finish. Ghetto-rigged with a 15' XLR cable for the moment. 4U rackbag subject to change.

I HAVE BLINKIN' LIGHTS.

I strictly rolled through the factory presets. Some of them are a bit dark, I believe either because they're intended for single-coils or because they're emulating massive cabs. Regardless, the Reactor is incredibly smooth and detailed on the top end, and seems neutral/correct through the midrange and bass. The amps, cabs, and effects all had dramatically different sounds, very evident from the FRFR solution. They also seem to have good spread - it's on the floor, but the sound was reasonable whether I was sitting in front of it or several feet away standing up. Plus it's the only FRFR that looks like a guitar cabinet, short of a custom build, and the sparkly grille is very black so it's not lame looking.

Clips some day, not for a while. I have no recording interface whatever, only a Boss Micro-BR, and I've got patches to create/songs to write. :-/

Glad you finally snagged it. You should play with the synth block and multiband compressors so you can feel justified in buying the Ultra.

Also, Vince, you're totally right - the built-in tuner is quite spectacular and beats the shit out of my Boss TU-12 (which is not a bad tuner). If I can manage to get along with the size of the display (must tune at my rig, not across the stage) I won't have to score a Peterson Drew. :yesway:

No, I haven't yet, but I will soon.

The Anaconda is the bee's knees. The neck profile is perfect for my shredz, and that .80 is awesome for the low grooves. I'll be debuting it onstage tonight, along with a new song, so hopefully we'll get some pics and/or video.
