I wanted a six-string baritone to use with my new band, and with all the praise the SE's get I thought I'd give the Mushok a try. I'm seriously impressed! Build quality is great, it sounds massive and clear and plays really well. The pickups are fine but a bit lacking in clarity. I'll probably throw in some BKP's with brushed nickel covers. :yum:

Gorgeous guitar. I've been GASing for one of these for two years now and my ONLY complaint has ever been the pickups for exactly the reason you stated.

But seriously, like... at least once a month I consider selling off some shit so I can buy one. :yum:

Thanks guys!

Unplugged, it has a very loud and powerful tone. With the 27,7" scale it has even more of that baritone percussiveness than my 27" KxK. I can't wait to try it out at band practice. :agreed:

I have huge GAS for a regular scale SE now. If the Åkerfeldt sig didn't have that huge Opeth logo on it, I would order one like right now!

Okay, so yesterday I put in a set of Bare Knuckle Holy Divers with brushed nickel covers.

Damned sexy. Chrome covers would've matched the hardware better, but I'm not a fan of too many shiny things on a guitar. The tone is gorgeous. Lots and lots of mids, with a punchy low-end and smooth highs.

I should've measured the string spacing before ordering, though.

Yeah, I actually like how the pickups and the black rings look with the silverburst finish. The bridge pup has an incredible ballsy, middy growl to it that's just ridiculous. The neck pickup is smooth and warm. Can't wait to try these at band practice. :hsquid:
