The Sovteks are stock in a lot of cheaper amps because they are consistent, cheap, and durable.

They're not the "richest" tubes, but they are good at what they do.

To the OP : If you like JJ's, I don't understand why you keep looking for something else. :shrug: Just wait for the replacement set.

This. The only tube swap I really noticed more than like a 5-10% difference with is the 12AX7 in V1 on my amp... and even then, I just notice higher gain tubes because it means I have to run the "Drive" knob lower, and "lower gain" rated tubes are a little more articulate at any gain setting.
