I discovered that there is an instrumental version of The Blackening on youtube:

warning: first 90 seconds of this vid is an intro (*looks at Chris :D)

You can find the rest after the video finishes

I actually liked some stuff off their first two albums but got tired of them. I really didn't like this album either but it sounds pretty good listen instrumentally. I guess Rob's vocals turn me away for some reason.

More bands need to release instrumental versions of their songs. There are so many little things that pop out of the mix when you aren't distracted by vocals. It's like re-discovering the song over again.

I'm gonna come in here and make my usual Machinehead thread post:

MH Bites, and neither Rob nor Phil have done anything better than average since Vio-Lence's Oppressing the Masses & Eternal Nightmare. :yesway:

Edit:

Vio-Lence playing a Chuck Billy/Chuck Schuldiner benefit show, minus Rob Flynn, who was too busy blowing James Hetfield to participate.

Burn My Eyes is the only one by them I really thought was good
Fair enough. It's a solid album nonetheless. But we can safely agree that we'd both best believe that The Burning Red and Supercharger never happened....
