Installed an AT1 and an Air Norton in my '91 RG550DX. What an awesome combo these are. I posted a clean tone sample on my soundclick.

SoundClick artist: Mel Thorpe And The Sucktones - page with MP3 music downloads

This is a quick 12 bar boogie riff that goes through each pickup setting in a single take so you can really hear the output differences.

AT1 in humbucker mode -> AT1 in single coil mode -> Air Norton in single coil mode -> Air Norton in humbucker mode.

The amp is a Legacy on clean channel with the EQ pretty flat (12:00). Mic is a e906.

I liked the AT1 in both modes more than the AN. I had a couple AN's before, and actually parsed them out because I thought the low end was a little boomy.

But, glad you dig them

Well, I first tried a Blaze (albeit, the Blaze Neck 7 to replace an AN7), and found it pretty scooped. I replaced the pups in my XV500 from a TZ/AN to a PAF Pro (b) and PAF Joe (n). The Joe definitely has more high end than the AN, and is thus a little more sparkly. I like it so far :yesway:
