NRD - iPad mini 2, Positive Grid JamUp XT, Bias and IK Multimedia iRig HD
Recently I get iPad mini 2 and IK Multimedia iRig HD as a Christmas gift for myself. I instantly bought Positive Grid Bias and Ola, Merrow, Loomis expansion for JamUP and I'm very impressed!
I think this combo is great and beats evry single modeller in this price range. Now it's time to sell POD HD300 and but Bluetooth controler for iPad and I'm good to go!
They're coming out with their own controller at NAMM, but the iRig Blueboard and Airturn both work. If you've got a audio interface with MIDI, the Behringer FCB1010 works too.
I got all this gear around Xmas too. Just sold my hd500. Hadn't really used it in months anyway and this does everything better so it's win win. Time for a new guitar
I'm waiting for payday at the end of the month before i can upgrade my Jamup to the Pro version and grab the signature packs, but I'm loving the iRig HD and Bias :yesway:
I snagged it for my iPhone as well with an Apogee jam. Great low volume practice tool... I've gotten a lot of use out of it already and it's only been a week.
I also think this is great practice tool. And the best thing is that I don't need any external power supply. I can jam about 10 hours without any problem + I can play games and check my emails. It's perfect tool for me
I'll be interested to see the pricing on this. Quite seriously thinking of getting a foot controller of some kind for this in the future for possible use as a jam rig outside of my home.
I downloaded preset called "Dynamic VH-4" from Positive Grid's Tone Cloud inside Bias app and boos it with Keith Merrow custom overdrive from Metal Expansion Pack 2 which I bought in JamUp XT (Includes Jeff Loomis, Ola Englund & Keith Merrow custom amps and effects).
Sounds awesome! I'd like this just for the portability.
