Just picked up a new 360 Slim and first thoughts : this thing definitely is lighter and a hell of a lot cooler than the old white box. Haven't tried the built-in Wifi yet, but I have faith in it.

Took fucking forever to find since I went to Best Buy on Friday and they were out, went to the Gamestop in Salem and they were out, the OTHER one was out as well, and on a whim we checked out Target and they had one in stock; also managed to get a free controller since they were part of a "Buy a new 360 Slim, get a free controller" type deal :yesway:

Did you get the 250GB version?
Yeah, probably should have mentioned that part which explains why it was sold out everywhere.

I used up 10 out of the 20GBs on my last 360, so this time I figured I'd give myself PLENTY of room for games and shit, versus not enough space and then have to shell out more money right away.

Yup, my Wifi worked on first try as well and it should be sweet when I get some online gaming going. Gonna have to make a new tag since I've outgrown my old one

Looks like M$ took a page out of Sony's book since, like the PS3, this thing is pretty touch sensitive. I didn't even mean to turn it on the first time. The eject/open disc tray button is also moved to the side, and is smaller and makes a little sound when you touch it. The sync button is also hidden right next to the USB port and doesn't even look like a button.

A smaller power brick and thinner cables? :yesway:

Also should've mention, I accidentally set mine up upside down since I wasn't paying attention. Whoops  I also just played Splinter Cell since my last post, and the entire time I couldn't hear any whirring or noise whatsoever :yesway:

But one thing I'm noticing, is that the exhaust is only coming out of the side of the unit.
Really? That's interesting given that the top of the unit looks like it'd be a damn good exhaust.
