Oh my fucking god, listen to these Tonehammer Kemper profiles!

I've struggled with Kemper a lot, I've gone from hating to loving and back again hundreds of times (there's countless "it sounds shit!!!" threads from me in the Kemper forums) and I've only really used one of the stock profiles (TAF Van \m/ Halen) since the beginning, and since then, I've bought profiles from The Amp Factory, SinMix, ReampZone and a couple of others, but there's always something wrong.

The Amp Factory was a bit noisy, there was a dark booming noise that ruined the otherwise ok tones
SinMix are always WAY to fucking distorted. There's almost no string definition at all. And turning gain down isn't the same as an already mid-distorted profile.
Reampzone sounded muddy to me.

I know these differences (maybe save for the TAF dark noise) is all down to personal preference. Some people like tones that are not very "clear and trebly" but it seems like most profiles are that way, maybe something that goes with modern down tuned metalcore stuff? I dont know, thats not my area...

But holy shit I just discovered Tonehammer and this is the first time I actually played every profile for a long time before trying the next one (usually I hate every profile and proceed instantly)

These profiles are sensitive as fucking hell. I make noises all the time, that I never heard on other profiles.
Must be the Maxon 808, probably cranked as hell.
Really, I did my best on this recording but I gave up after a while, I have to improve my picking technique

Do I hear right or is there's a little low-mid noise on the Hesu (the one to the right)???

I've heard "something" all the time, but I haven't been 100% if I heard right... but there's definitely something odd going on in the low-mid frequiences.
There definitely is an ugly low end rumble in the Hesu profile, I knew I heard something, but when doing a filter sweep, you can hear it really clear...

This just destroyed my latest favorite profile completely... :pissed:

Can't really use high pass filter to remove it either, I have to set the filter to about 250-300hz to not hear it, and that's WAY TO FUCKING HIGH for metal guitars. When I filter like I usually do, at about 100-150 something, the rumble is there, and ruins the mix... :(
Where did my large colored texts go? I'm pretty sure I used big letters and colors
I saw it.. big red "TONEHAMMER" right above where the sound file was. I can't explain why it would disappear though..

You should be glad you're not using my rig, most of the tones I get have so much grit on them you'd probably chuck it out the window. I'm not sure what you're listening to the recordings through but seriously though, that 1st sample was really clear and defined and was better than anything I could hope to get with my setup. Nothing to be upset about at all. :yesway:
I think the most likely explanation is that a mod got annoyed by the stupidly large bright colored text.

Yeah I dont see the issue with the big letters, I think it's a good way to tell "here's the important part"

But it still has that mix destroying rumble in the low end, it's not obvious when you first here it, but once you hear it, you can't get past it.

I've tried lower the gain, but it doesn't help...
LOOK NOW!!!!
I recorded without only the 1960 cab and skipped the Hesu... I dont think it has the same "magic" as the combo, but it's DAMN NICE!

First a Grave Digger intro;

And a random riff:

Rocka, tip for directing viewers to the important bits: write in italics for the important stuff.

I do that to at occasion
The Tonehammer Dual Rectifier, 5150 MK1, DV Mark Triple 6, Diezel Herbert are all awesome packs.

Checkout Hearse Profiles too.
Yeah I'm going to try out a bunch of other ones soon too :)

These was the first since the factory stock TAF - Van \m/ Halen that I really was like "oh shit!" about. And of course there was some stupid noise frequency in my absolute favorite

But I will try out a couple of others too. Dual Rectifier is probably next on the list, and 5150.

There was one really middy and trebly in the previews too, dont remember what it was called tho...
They sounded great. I see what you mean about that frequency but surely you can eq it out. If you even need rid of it at all
